I intend to produce a regular feature on The Twitter Files that covers the “hot buzz of the day”. In the beginning, I might not post daily so I’ll start out by posting the summary once a week of the most tweeted buzz on twitter.

I discovered TwitScoop today which made it real easy to track and get summaries of the hot buzz topics. Check the link I created for this story.

Today, the winning topic is a story that dominated the news while it was buzzing around on Twitter. A heroic, clear thinking 7 year old boy took his 6 year old sister into the bathroom, locked the door and called 911 while armed robbers held his parents at gunpoint. Thanks to the level headed little man who acted instead of panicking, his parents escaped an ill fate. The little boy and his sister are both alive today because of his heroic act. Thank God they had angels watching over them.

Twitter is like the “king/queen” in the micro blogging social advertising world. It began as a social outlet, sort of an experiment that grew exponentially. Today, Twitter has outgrown and exceeded its own humble expectations. We love Twitter, naturally. Just look at the name of our site! But being savvy business people, we still know it’s necessary to spread your business ads out to cover the massive internet. And so we indulge in many types of advertising while we still hold fondly onto the “tweet” button ready to notify the world when something interesting happens in our world.

I find twitter trends amazing, don’t you? It’s so interesting to see what people are talking about at any given moment. What’s everyone talking about this evening? The death of actor Patrick Swayze has become the hot topic on twitter. That’s right Kanye West, you are quickly becoming old news.

Hi everyone. I’ve been asked to be The Twitter Files first Guru. I’m pretty excited about this.

What’s a guru? A guru – at least in terms of this page – is someone with a love for Twitter. Someone who has tried multiple ways of tweeting and wants to share what they have learned with others. It’s a crazy world out there in Twitter and we want to give new and experienced users an outlet to express their love/hate/addiction for the micro blogging network.
