Yes, I am talking about the actual X-Files, the movie. A new follower of @thetweetfiles posted this on their profile then chose to follow us. I am so grateful to @rachael1982s so please follow her and share your gratitude. That is, if you are an X-Files lover. This is a tribute to the characters Mulder and Scully. In my opinion, they are the most awesome couple to ever dazzle the screen with their romance and love for one another. I spent years admiring them and their work with the paranormal.
Have you ever received an automated message from a twitter follower and wondered if they really read your message or took the time to look at your profile?
That is why I want to cover this topic. Let’s discuss the pros and cons of autobot responding to people who choose to follow you on Twitter.
This is too much people! I love it. After some marketing on twitter today and very energetically working on this site. In an urgent desire to create the first five posts so it will qualify for Entrecard ( I want this site to get all the traffic possible in its beginning stages), I pondered what to write on post number five.
While thinking, I headed over to our new Twitter page to tweet the folow ups and it came to me….I saw that “The Tweet Files” has nine followers. Not ten, which might seem like a really magic number, but nine. That is the perfect topic. We are only a few hours old on twitter so lets sing and shout!
Here is the really good part. We’re being followed by:
There were only two direct messages but that does not make it any less profound folks, because I believe in the cosmic spiritual significance of all things. Life is patterned after some invisible road map that leads each one of us in the way our path goes. The two DM’s to The Twitter Files are from a dear friend of ours, NascarKaty and President Barack Obama. Now that is cosmic!
Two important people in our lives and they appear on the same page together. Fascinating.
We are live on twitter so please follow us @thetweetfiles, It was amazing to see that Twitter would not allow me to set up a user name with the word Twitter in it in any form. It’s funny because the domain name of this blog contains the word. So I chose thetweetfiles as a close compromise. At least its similar.
The profile page is set with a photo that I took myself at Snake River Canyon in Twin Falls, Idaho. That’s one of my favorite places to visit so I chose that. I hope you like it.
As for the profile image of the little twitter bird working on the computer while lying down…it is just so cute. I couldn’t resist it! He is the icon to be identified with our persona from now on. You will see lots of little twitter birds on this site as signatures and reminders that the social site Twitter is the reason this blog exists.
There will be contests for people to enter their favorite twitter bird images with some prizes. I’m not sure if that feature will happen every month or every week. It depends upon the stamina of our newly developing team, and yours truly, one of the main developers and writers during the pre-launch phase.
If you notice that I jump from I to we and vice versa don’t think that I forgot how to use pronouns. I do it because I’m the one writing but my references include my partner and spouse, Cephas, and some friends who will be writing on or promoting this site.
The moment of truth…will this site catch on at Twitter? Hurry on over there and follow us at The Tweet Files. (our mini me) Please spread the word by tweeting about us and ask folks to retweet.
Remember, get in the zone. The Twitter Files Zone.
I’m brainstorming ideas for this site so I will microblog them in short posts or lists, almost like a tweet except its a perma part of one blog that is not mixed in with hundreds of thousands of others in an endless stream.
It occurred to me that there are lots of important tweets regarding life, tragedy, war, peace, business, advertising, freelance writing, politics, Hollywood, stars, music and musicians, celebrities, diplomats, travel and every conceivable thing.
I want to run a section in The Twitter Files “Just for Fun”. I’m not sure of the layout or the posting rules or content, so let me ponder that a little while. I’ll get back to you on it.
Be sure to follow me on twitter at @midnightwriter1 and stay in the loop.
There will be a twitter account set up just for this blog, as soon as I catch my breath. Don’t worry, I’ll do plenty of tweeting about it.
I can’t wait for you to post your comments and share all your great suggestions about this portion of The Twitter Files. Now get into the Zone.
Open to recovering tweeters, too. This will be a fun support forum idea for lovers of Twitter who want to share their passion with others who have the same admiration.
And The Twitter Files will document our search for the truth. So hold onto your seat because now you are in The Twitter File Zone.
The Twitter bird is probably the most famous bird in modern times. This icon has taken many forms with multiple personalities. It will be great fun to watch the submissions of the mulitiplicity of microbloggings alter ego.
